Company Accountant

The Company
Our client is a progressive northside business which provides environmental services to the mining and resource sector. The business is run by 2 entrepreneurial directors who are committed to growth. One division of the business in particular is experiencing exponential growth due to the increased demand for their services.

The offices are neat, tidy and well appointed in an industrial park near Virginia on the northside of Brisbane.

The Role
Reporting to the directors and supervising one accounts person you will run the accounting / tax function for this growing division initially and eventually the other divisions as well. There are only 4-5 office staff with the team being close knit and down-to-earth people. The biggest customers are large resource sector businesses so contract compliance also plays a key part of this role.

The Person
You will a chartered accountant or CPA with at least 10 years accounting and tax experience. You will probably have started your career in an accounting firm and then moved to the commercial sector where you have progressed through to company accountant or commercial manager. Although not essential it would be preferred that you have experience working for a mining or gas company. Excellent communication skills, a pro-active lateral thinking business manner and a pleasant demeanour are imperative.

The Managing Director of a fast growth, dynamic marketing and distribution group of companies is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and professional Personal Assistant to provide critical administrative and liason support.  The group head office is in Brisbane South.
This role requires an experienced Personal assistant who can demonstrate confidentiality, trust and a mature attitude.

The successful candidate will; 

  • Possess leadership qualities that enable you to manage people with subtle authority.
  • Have excellent time management and organisation skills
  • 
Be experienced in communicating with key clients and sales personnel

  • Have comprehensive experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Be able to demonstrate high level oral and written communication skills and minimum accurate 70 wpm typing. Shorthand would be an advantage.

General Manager

Our client  is a very successful jobbing fabrication business located in the Gladstone / Rockhampton area.
 
We provide high quality fabrications to a diverse client base.  Our demanding expectations which we pride ourselves on, are mostly exceeded by our experienced and stable workforce.
 
We require a General Manager to enhance the skills of our current team, someone who can both lead from the front and mentor.
 
Previous sales/estimating experience in a similar work environment is desirable but not essential.  Whilst being responsible for the overall processes the person will need to be actively involved in all aspects of the organisation inclusive of estimating, client liaisons, overseeing of staff and sales.  This would be commensurate with the role of a General Manager in a small/ medium sized firm.
 
We are seeking a person with strong knowledge in jobbing fabrication processes and their best practice time allocation, from cutting and forming to fabrication and welding.
 
Associated with this must be the ability to relate our substantial capabilities confidently to our existing and potential clients and to develop relations through performance and integrity.
 
Your personal traits must include focus, drive, initiative, ability to work closely in a tight team, willingness to learn and time management.

Network Engineer

An excellent opportunity exists for a hard working and highly motivated professional to join the team at our Main office Operation as a Network Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the tactical support for the Process Control System network infrastructure through the provision of system configuration and maintenance services. You will also assist the senior leadership team in the development and implementation of strategies which support the asset management plan for the Groups Control System.



Key Responsibilities include:
Setup, configure & maintain process control system network & fibre infrastructure Cisco switches & fibre network and SCADA servers & business system servers;


Maintain process control system backup system; and


General system maintenance and support.



Skills and Experience



To be considered you will preferably have a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of Diploma qualification. Training in Cisco and Microsoft Server is highly desirable. 




With solid analytical skills and a background with SCADA systems and Cisco based networks you will be able to work within tight frameworks in a busy environment. A highly motivated self-starter, you will display effective verbal and written communication capabilities with the ability to engage with people at all levels across the business. 




The successful applicants technical skills will be complemented by a demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement. A current full Australian C class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license is a requirement of this role.
